Life Cycle of Digital Sources

Institutions increasingly complement print-based reference collections with digitally-based reference for financial and educational reasons. Nevertheless, many costs are associated with this service, and intellectual and even psychological considerations make these resources a complex set of issues. Technology facilitates access while minimizing space and costs. With technology the line between access tools and reference resources themselves have blurred.
